A lot of introverts live in a house that is too big, and they don’t like to go out. They would prefer to stay in their rooms and not bother anyone.

Where introverts can live happily:

Small towns: They may seem boring, but they provide a lot of space and freedom for an introvert to do whatever they want.

The country: Space, the tranquility of the countryside, and fresh air are all attracting people who don’t like to be around people much.

Where you should consider living if you are searching for the best cities for introverts:

The city: Cities offer many different opportunities for work and opportunities for socializing with others – both things that some introverts enjoy.

Suburbs: For someone who needs space inside their home but still wants to be close enough to amenities.

In the past few years, social media has dealt a heavy blow to introverts.

It seems like every other profile is either bathed in a pool of dazzling selfies or peppered with professionally taken photos from their latest vacation.

In an age where personality and individuality are so prized, introverts have been left out in the cold–almost as if they don’t exist at all.

The irony is that introverts are often among the most talented people you’ll ever meet–and chances are, they’re being undervalued at work, too.

With that being said, discover the best places to live if you are an introvert, as well as the worst cities for introverts.

Why Do Extroverts Seem to Live Happier Lives?

Extroverts are usually more confident, friendly, and social.

They like to do things with other people and enjoy talking to others on their terms.

Some studies show that extroverts are more sensitive to dopamine; they feel rewarded by the act of connecting with other people, which means they can derive pleasure from their environment much easier than introverts.

We need to know the fact that extroverts are usually more outgoing, friendly, and social which means they like doing things with other people.

Extroverts have a stronger sensitivity to dopamine which means they will derive pleasure from their environment much easier than introverts.

And extroverts seem to live happier lives because of this factor.

The Best Cities for Introverts

The word introvert comes from the Latin word “intro” meaning “within” and “vertere” meaning “to turn.”

It is often depicted as a person who turns inward on themselves, creating their own thoughts and feelings.

In today’s society, introverts are often overlooked for their potential because of the perception that they are unfriendly or uninterested in people.

In reality, introverts just want to have a few moments of alone time while extroverts enjoy being around people while socializing.

We have compiled a list of cities that may be good for introverted people to visit if they need a break from a busy life.

Interesting to myself I’ve lived or visited most of the cities that would be a great place for introverts to live in or at least visit.

The Following Are The Top 10 Cties for Introverts:

1. Los Angeles, California – Surpringly L.A. makes the top ten list for introverts because it has a little bit of everything such as beautiful beaches, parks, and other amenities that are great for both introverts and extroverts.

2. New York City, New York – NYC wouldn’t seem like a place for introverts it’s usually crowded with people and it can be difficult to find a place to escape for some peace and quit. However, the past couple of years has changed this completely. Now there are plenty of places for an introvert to get some alone time.

3. Omaha, Nebraska – I was surprised on my visit to Omaha, Nebraska. It wasn’t what I expected. Yes, it has a lot of farms but it also has clean cities with updated buildings that had many young people gathering for socializing. That being said there are plenty of outdoor areas for introverts to escape to where you can be alone for peace and quiet.

4. Madison, Wisconsin – Wisconsin has both cities and vast farmlands where you can choose to be around a lot of people to socialize with or live away from the hustle and bustle of city life to a remote area that you can get away to reading, write, or just lay out under the stars and relax.

5. Minneapolis-St Paul, Minnesota – There is a lot to do and see in Minneapolis. If you are an introvert you may enjoy the following:

6. Portland, Oregon – Spending my childhood in the city of roses I can say that if you go to Portland you have to enjoy moisture, to say the least. It’s very often raining and cold outside but there are a lot of fun things for introverts such as grab a draft beer, listen to your favorite bands play, or go to Powell books and spending the day reading.

7. Washington D.C., District of Columbia – Another city that surprised me on this list is Washington D.C. For example, you can U.S. Botanic Garden, visit Rock Creek Park, or the Library Of Congress Main Reading Room.

8. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – There is plenty to love about Philadelphia especially if you’re an introvert. Here are some recommendations; Philadelphia Museum of Art, Walkthrough Fairmount park, or visit Philidelphia Parks.
